Share A Journey With Me

Survivor or Seeker – if I had to think of one word only to describe myself, it would be survivor…seeker?  Well, definitely one of those, probably both.  Now having survived, still surviving, I understand that I leaned heavily on my Christian background and faith to get me through, but I also find myself still looking for….God?  No, not for God, I found him and I know where he is, I feel his presence.

Looking for answers?  No, actually not for answers, not for faith, but for…..something more.  Something I couldn’t quite put my finger on.

“When we start out on a spiritual path we often have ideals we think we’re supposed to live up to. We feel we’re supposed to be better than we are in some way. But with this practice you take yourself completely as you are. Then ironically, taking in pain – breathing it in for yourself and all others in the same boat as you are – heightens your awareness of exactly where you’re stuck.”…… Pema Chodron.

My goal is to reach out to women who have traveled in the same boat, or are traveling still, to heighten my awareness, and pass along some thoughts that might heighten others.   To uplift and restore.  To question, to explore.  To discover – because life is a quest.

I look forward to bringing reviews of books, music, websites, audio books, podcasts, any resource for overcoming challenges and dealing with day to day hectic, busy lives that leave very little time to focus on SELF.  To renew, nourish, replenish your soul and then be inspired so you are not just moving through one day after another, just treading water and trying to keep your head above water!

There seems to be a rebirth of spirituality over the last few years, continuing strongly in 2012, whether this will lead to a large global change as predicted by some, well, that remains to be seen.  In the meantime, our goal is to focus on uplifting one soul at a time, by bringing motivating, inspirational, thought-provoking articles, reviews, videos, and more to inform, entertain, educate, and enlighten you.
